Turbat University launched scholarship schemes for talented and needy students

University of Turbat has started Taj Muhammad and Mir Elahi Bakhsh Rind Scholarship for underprivileged and talented students enabling them to pursue higher studies in Turbat University. Dr Shabir a businessman and social worker, had dominated Rs. 1m and Rs.2m in UoT student endowment fund to start Taj Muhammad Scholarship and Mir Elahi Bakhsh Rind scholarships respectively for the promotion of higher education in the region.

Couple of month ago Advocate Jadain Dashti had also donated Rs.1m to initiate Karim Dashti Scholarship for the same purpose.

The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarship under the supervision of director QEC Prof Dr Gul Hassan had launched a fund raising campaign for the deserving and talented students studying in Turbat University.

According to Dr Gul Hassan many philanthropists, donors and social welfare organizations are approaching to the university administration with the commitment to contribute in student endowment fund for the good cause of promotion of higher learning in this far flung part of the country.  

Meanwhile a formal ceremony was held in university main campus ginna on 22nd December 2017, in which Dr Gul Hassan and Dr Shabir had signed on Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to regularize both scholarships in UoT.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir, Dean faculty of Social Sciences Prof Dr Abdul Saboor Baloch, Registrar Prof Dr Hanif Ur Rahman, director finance Ghulam Farooq Baloch, director Gwadar Campus Ijaz Ahmed and PSO to VC Chakar Hyder were also present during the ceremony.

On this occasion VC UoT said Turbat University was committed to promote and expand student endowment fund for deserving students to make their future prosperous by acquiring higher education in UoT as it is the part of the strategic plan of his institution.

In this regard he insisted upon donors and people from all walk of life to contribute in Student Endowment Fund by sponsoring deserving students for higher studies.
