Workshop on “Building Entrepreneurial skills in youths” held in UoT Gwadar Campus


A one day workshop on “Building Entrepreneurial Skills in youths” was held in Gwadar Campus of University of Turbat on 19th April 2019 in collaboration with Institute of Business Administration (IBA) main campus Karachi and BAAMSAAR Gwadar. The objective of the Workshop was an intensive entrepreneurship training aiming at helping students to put their ideas into action and grow their personal entrepreneurial skills and provide the participants the chance to lab test their Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies (PECs) and improve it in future. Resource Person of the workshop Dr. Imran Khan from IBA Karachi (Ph.D. Computer Science), specialized in Entrepreneurial Management and Technology Entrepreneurship shared multiple tools and techniques for improving entrepreneurial skills. He admired the efforts of VC UoT Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, faculty members and university administration for developing university campus in short time.

Extending his gratitude to the IBA team and CEO Baamsaar Naseer Muhammad for cooperation in conducting workshop on entrepreneurial skills in Gwadar Campus, the director campus Ijaz Ahmed said that It was an undeniable fact that in this fast growing competitive world, the elevation of Entrepreneurship especially among the youth at Higher Education Institutions is one of the priority areas across the globe and such a cohesive entrepreneurial capacity-building workshop can enable the students to become job providers rather than job seekers. After completing multiple tasks in group the students presented their business ideas. The workshop was attended by CEO Baamsaar, faculty members and students.

At the Director campus on behalf of university vice chancellor Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir presented shield to the resource person of the workshop. Dr. Imran Khan and Director Campus also planted trees in the lawn of campus.
