Karachi University delegation visited Gwadar campus of UoT


A delegation of prominent scholars and professionals from Karachi University on 4th January 2019 visited the sub-campus of Turbat University in Gwadar, where they were briefed about the academic development plans.

The delegation which included Dr. Nasir Salman, Dr. Zeeshan Aslam, Dr. Muhammad Saeed, Dr. Farhan Ahmed Siqqiqui, Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Khan and Dr. Nadeem Mahmood visited classrooms, computer lab, library and other component of the campus.

In-charge Computer Science Department Hafeez Mubarak and In-charge Commerce Department Mujahid Hussain were also present at this occasion.

On behalf of UoT's Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, the Director Campus Ijaz Ahmed briefed the team about the strengths, challenges and milestones achieved by the campus in the short span of two years.

He informed the visitors that the charter of Gwadar University has been approved by the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan and 500 acres land has also been transferred in favor of Gwadar University.

While appreciating the efforts of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir and his team in promoting higher education in this far flung area of the country, the visitors said that pass out graduates of sub-campus of Turbat University would certainly play pivotal role in the development of the province.

They assured to render all kinds of cooperation in arranging lecture programs, training workshop and conferences at Gwadar campus.

Dr. Nasir Salman announced to donate thousands of books in soft form for the campus library. Director campus thanked the visitors for their eagerness and unconditional support in the efforts for uplifting the standard of education in this part of the country.
