University of Turbat (UoT) vice chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir has said that the UoT’s Gwadar campus will bring educational revolution in this part of the country and passed out graduates from Gwadar campus will play an important role in accelerating development activities in the port city and rest of the province. He expressed these views on 3rd February, 2020 at Gwadar campus while addressing a program as chief guest. The event was organized by the senior students to welcome the fresh students in the Gwadar Campus.
Lauding the role of campus director, faculty members, Teaching Fellows, Visiting Teachers and students in the development of Gwadar Campus in short time, vice chancellor said that, the campus will be transformed in to a full-fledged university soon, adding that the Gwadar University Act has already been approved by the Balochistan Assembly and approval of university’s PC-I is in process. “Five hundred acres land has been allotted in favor of Gwadar University, however the efforts are underway to acquire a piece of land for Gwadar university in education enclave earmarked in newly launched Gwadar Master Plan,” he said.
Congratulation the organizers and stage performers of the program, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir said that conducting such activities in the university was very important for guidance of new students and acclimating them to their new surroundings and providing them an opportunity for learning, acquire new knowledge, develop new skills, and enhance personal attributes in thoughtful ways.
Speaking on this occasion Campus Director Ijaz Ahmed said that besides having ample opportunities for acquiring quality education at Gwadar Campus, the students also have the platform to discover their hidden talent through healthy extra-curricular activities. He said that choosing of Gwadar Campus for higher education will mark a positive and constructive change in the life of fresh and senior students which can lead them towards peace, success and prosperity.
During the programs the speakers, artists and stage performers gave an overview of the university life, from academics to extra-curricular activities.
The program was also attended by the Incharge Computer Science Department Hafeezullah Mubarak, Incharge Management Sciences Department Ubaid Ali Incharge Commerce Department Mujahid Hussain, Incharge Education Department Mahira Khan, faculty members and students from various departments.
Senior students Jaweria, Fazul, Madeha and Salim performed the responsibilities of stage secretary during the event.
