The Vice Chancellor University of Turbat visited UoT’s Gwadar Campus on 28th June, 2020, where he presided over a meeting with newly appointed administrative staff.
Campus Director Ijaz Ahmed, Deputy Campus Coordinator Hafeezullah Mubarak, faculty member Irshad Buledi and PSO to vice chancellor Engr. Bilal Ur Rahman were also present on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion VC said that hardworking, dutiful, talented and responsible faculty members, administrative staff and other employees are a source of pride for the university.
Vice chancellor said that the university management will ensure the provision of facilities to the students, faculty members and staff to foster the best learning environment and advanced teaching methodology at all campuses of the university including Gwadar campus.
Congratulating the newly appointed staff, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir said that the newly appointed staff now have a huge responsibility on their shoulders for the further development of this institution and fulfilling these responsibilities in an efficient manner should be their top priority.
The VC advised that students, faculty members, administrative officers and other staff must move forward with a spirit of teamwork and mutual respect in order to achieve the goals set by the institution.
He said that the Gwadar University Act has been passed by the Balochistan Assembly in November 2018 and a piece of land measuring 500 acres has also been allotted for the university. Gwadar Campus will soon become a full-fledged independent university of international standard which will play an important role in raising the standard of quality education not only in Gwadar but also in Balochistan and rest of the country.
“You are lucky for becoming the part of founding members of the University of Gwadar which is no less than an honor and the youth of Gwadar are endowed with immense talent. The qualified teachers, administrative officers and other staff appointed on merit, will use all their abilities to assist in providing quality education to the students. The welfare of university employees is one among the priorities of the university management.” VC said.
Prof. Dr. Razzaq Sabir said that after the establishment of Gwadar Campus the people of the area now have the opportunities to acquire higher education at their doorsteps, which need to be fully utilized by the people of the area.
He said that Turbat University is developing rapidly and the establishment of sub-campuses at Gwadar and Panjgur in a short span of seven years are among the major achievements of the University.
Speaking on the occasion, Campus Director Ijaz Ahmed Baloch said that in compliance of the instructions of the Vice Chancellor, a training workshop for newly appointed admin staff would soon be organized at the campus.
Later on, the Vice Chancellor also visited the site allotted for University of Gwadar (UoG). On this occasion, the staff of Gwadar Revenue Department briefed him about the land allotted for Gwadar University. The Vice Chancellor said that a letter would soon be written to the Higher Education Commission for the placement of pillars around the UoG site.
