Vice Chancellor inaugurates plantation drive in University of Turbat

The Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the University of Turbat (UoT) Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad has said that the extensive tree plantation drive and nurturing the trees were vital in order to protect the environment for the present as well as future generations. He said this on 5th August 2021 while inaugurating the tree plantation drive under UoT-Geen & Clean Campaign by planting a tree in front of the administration block at the main campus. The Dean Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor, Registrar Ghulam Farooq, Dean Faculty of Economics, Commerce and Business Administration Dr. Waseem Barkat, PSO to Vice-Chancellor Chaker Hyder, Heads of various teaching departments and administrative sections, faculty members, and other officers were also present on the occasion and they also planted samples at the lawn of their respective department.

“The University of Turbat is committed to actively take part in plantation drive under Prime Minister’s Program ‘Clean and Green Pakistan’ in order to achieve the goals of green Pakistan by planting 10 billion trees around the country,” VC said.

Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad has directed all Deans, directors of campuses, faculty members, staff, and students to participate devotedly in tree plantation drive to make the university’s campuses green, clean, and eco-friendly.
