HEC allowed new PhD program in Balochi at Turbat University

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the University of Turbat (UoT) for launching a new Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Balochi.
In a letter issued by the HEC here on 21st September 2022, the Quality Assurance Division of HEC has affirmed that the University of Turbat has met the minimum requirements and standards set by the HEC to launch a Ph.D. program in Balochi.
Calling it a great achievement for the university in a short span of time, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad in his message said all possible measures would be taken to promote higher and advanced studies at the university.
He exalted the efforts of Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch, Dean of Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Abdul Rauf, Assistant Professor, Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Shad, Assistant Professor, and other faculty members of the Institute of Balochi Language and Culture (IBLC) for this great achievement. He said that all-out efforts would be placed to ensure HEC and International standards in the research activities at the university.
The HEC has also issued a NOC for the launching of new MPhil & Ph.D. programs in Biochemistry at UoT. With the addition of these programs, the number of Ph.D. programs will increase to two while the MPhil/MS programs will raise to four in the university. It should be noted that the MPhil/MS programs are already running in Balochi, Chemistry, and Business Administration at the university.
