Mr. Changiz Ahmed, Assistant Professor, and Chairperson, Political Science Department at the University of Turbat (UoT) on 16th of May 2024 presented a paper titled “Challenges to Women Political Empowerment in Makran Division of Balochistan” through video link in a Two-day Hybrid International Conference on Democracy, Governance and Sustainability held at University of Punjab Lahore from 15 to 16 May 2024. The paper highlights the crucial challenges that women face while making a choice to participate in political affairs.
Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, Vice Chancellor, and the university community extended congratulations to Mr. Changiz Ahmed for presenting a paper at an international conference.
According to the paper, the women of Makran confront challenging issues to participate in politics which has a wide web of problems ranging from cultural to religious and economic to social handicaps.
