UoT Conducts MPhil Thesis Defenses in Biochemistry, English Literature, and Chemistry

The Directorate of Graduate Studies at the University of Turbat (UoT) conducted the viva voce examinations and thesis defense sessions of MPhil scholars from the Departments of Natural and Basic Sciences, English, and Chemistry from 11 to 13 February 2026. The Biochemistry and Chemistry sessions were chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, while the English Literature session was chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering, and IT.
In Biochemistry, MPhil scholars Mr. Talal Qadir and Mr. Rehan Aslam successfully defended their theses. Their research was evaluated by Dr. Asad Karim from the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, University of Karachi, and Dr. Khwaja Ali Hassan, Assistant Professor at the same university. The scholars completed their research under the supervision of Dr. Haneef-ur-Rehman, Associate Professor in the Department of Natural and Basic Sciences, UoT.
In English Literature, MPhil scholars Mr. Nusrat Hussain, Mr. Ameer Jan, and Mr. Khudadost defended their theses. Dr. Saba Zaidi, Associate Professor at Rawalpindi Women's University, and Dr. Saman Salah, Assistant Professor at SBK Women’s University, served as external examiners. Their research was supervised by Dr. Shah Mir Baloch, Chairperson, Department of English. In Chemistry, MPhil scholars Ms. Kulsoom and Mr. Murad Ghani successfully defended their theses. The external examiners were Dr. Mohib Ullah, Dean, Faculty of Science, Engineering & Technology at University of Gwadar, and Dr. Hamid Ullah from BUITEMS. Their research was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Naeemullah, Dean, Faculty of Sciences, Engineering, and IT. The Vice Chancellor and faculty members congratulated the scholars on their successful completion of this significant academic milestone.
