Vice Chancellor inaugurates System Lab in Gwadar Campus of UoT

The Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the University of Turbat (UoT) Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad on 1st September 2021 inaugurated a well-equipped System Lab at UoT’s Gwadar Campus. The event was attended by Campus Director Ijaz Ahmed, PSO to VC Chakar Hyder, In-charge Computer Science Department, Muhammad Akram, In-charge Education Department, Sadia Naseer, In-charge Commerce Department, Mujahid Hussain, In-charge Management Sciences Department Sagheer Nasim, faculty member Mukhtar Bashir, Shehnaz Noor, Assistant Director Admin Abdul Majid, Assistant Director Finance Rehmatullah and other staff of Gwadar Campus.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor said, “It is a digital era, and keeping in view the rapidly changing requirements of the time, we have decided to further enhance the IT facilities in all campuses of the university.”
He said that the System Lab not only connected students with the global platform but also helped them in acquiring up-to-date knowledge about their specialized fields.
VC added, “In today's globalized, technology-driven world, we are making efforts to upgrade the facilities of General Computer Lab, System Lab, Hardware Lab, fast internet connectivity and other IT related services in all campuses of the university.”
Briefing the Vice-Chancellor on the objectives and functions of System Lab, In-charge Computer Science Department, Muhammad Akram said “It is equipped with 31Nos HP business machines Core i7, 9th generation with 16 MB RAM, multimedia system with interactive board, audio & video facility, power back up support and PERN connectivity for internet facility. Besides facilitating final year’s students for their final project work, this System Lab may also be utilized to facilitate training session on Freelancing for enrolled students and alumni of the campus.”
Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor also handed over the keys of a bus to the Campus Director. Besides conducting meetings with faculty members and admin staff, the VC also inspected the ongoing refurbishing works at the campus. The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the Campus Director and his team over the progress of Gwadar Campus in a short span of time.
