Interactive Session on Modern Knowledge, Artificial Intelligence, and Human Creativity at Turbat University

On the invitation of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, renowned nuclear physicist, educationist, author, and former Professor of Quaid-e-Azam University, Dr. Pervez Hoodbhoy visited the University of Turbat on October 2, 2025, and addressed an interactive session with faculty and students.

In his talk, Dr. Hoodbhoy emphasized that quality education, advanced research, and innovation are vital for national progress. He urged students to pursue learning with dedication to contribute to the development and dignity of Pakistan, adding that education should not be seen merely as a path to jobs but as a way to nurture intellect, curiosity, and creativity.

He also discussed artificial intelligence, astrophysics, human creativity, and quantum computing, noting that the youth of Pakistan have no lack of talent but require proper guidance and opportunities to compete at international level.

Dr. Hoodbhoy responded to questions from faculty and students and was presented with a commemorative shield by Associate Professor Dr. Hanif Ur Rehman on behalf of the Vice Chancellor.

Earlier, Dr. Hoodbhoy met Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, who briefed him on academic progress, infrastructure development, and challenges faced by the university. Senior officials, including Registrar Ganguzar Baloch, Assistant Professor Jamil Ahmed Badini, Director PR Ijaz Ahmed, and Chief Security Officer Shahid Essa, were also present on the occasion.

Later, Dr. Hoodbhoy visited the library, computer and chemistry labs, and classrooms, where he interacted with students.
