UoT Honors Outstanding Students for Exceptional Achievements at Kech Cultural Festival

A graceful ceremony was held at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat of the University of Turbat (UoT) on October 8, 2025 to honor students who demonstrated exceptional performance during the Kech Cultural Festival. The event was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Gul Hasan.

The ceremony was attended by Registrar Ganguzar Baloch, Chairman, Department of Management Sciences, Dr. Ghulam Jan, Chairperson, Department of Education, Dr. Mahnaz Aslam, Director Public Relations, Ijaz Ahmed, Director Student Affairs, Chakar Hyder, faculty member, Department of Economics, Samina Faqeer, Focal Person, Musical and Dramatic Society, Dr. Muhammad Salim, along with students who secured top positions in the festival.
During the Entrepreneurial Competition at the festival, UoT’s team “Work in Project” clinched the first position. The team included Talha Tahir, Irfan Khatir, Ahmad, and Sangeen Anwar from the Department of Management Sciences, and Khair Bakhsh from the Department of Computer Science. The team “Food Surplus App” secured the second position, comprising Computer Science students Shamim KB, Sameer Ahmed, Jeand Sharif, and Owais Qadir. In the Music Competition, Shah Meer, a student from the Department of Education, earned first position for his outstanding performance.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Gul Hasan congratulated the students for their remarkable achievements and enthusiastic participation in the festival. He reiterated that the university administration is committed to promoting diverse youth engagement initiatives that enhance students’ creativity, innovation, and character development.
He further encouraged students to actively participate in constructive and positive activities to strengthen their academic, creative, social, and leadership skills, enabling them to play an active role in the province’s and the nation’s progress, national unity, and social harmony.
On the occasion, the Vice Chancellor directed the Directorate of Student Affairs to motivate and guide students to fully benefit from various youth empowerment initiatives launched by the federal and provincial governments, including the National Vocational and Training Commission programs, Young Peace and Development Corps, and the Youth Digital Hub.

The Vice Chancellor also appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Registrar's Office, Directorate of Student Affairs, Focal Persons of Student Clubs and Societies, and the faculty members who mentored the students throughout the festival, including Dr. Ghulam Jan, Dr. Muhammad Salim, Samina Faqeer, and others, whose guidance and support greatly contributed to the students’ success.
It is worth noting that during the Kech Cultural Festival, Dr. Ghulam Jan urged public representatives, district administration, and event organizers to extend support in helping students translate their business ideas into practical ventures.
