Management Sciences Department Launches New Degree Programs in Fin-Tech and Business Analytics

The Department of Management Sciences at the University of Turbat (UoT) is going to launch various new degree programs in Financial Technology (FinTech) and Business Analytics starting from the academic year 2026. It was decided during the 8th meeting of the Board of Studies (BoS) of the Department of Management Sciences, held on October 15, 2025, at UoT. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Ghulam Jan, Head of the Department of Management Sciences.
The Board members appreciated the initiative to introduce technology-oriented business programs in the Management Sciences Department that are aligned with emerging market needs and digital transformation trends. During the meeting, several academic matters were also discussed in detail, with a special focus on curriculum reform and development, and starting technology-oriented new academic programs.
Dr. Farhan Khalil, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics and Management Sciences, NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, and Dr. Muhammad Shujaat Mubarak, Associate Professor, Heriot-Watt University, United Kingdom, attended the meeting virtually. Dr. Adeel Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Director Quality Enhancement Cell, Dr. Waseem Barkat, Director Graduate Studies, and faculty members, including Dr. Muhammad Tahir Badini, Mr. Siraj Ahmed, and Mr. Waseem Raja from the University of Turbat, also attended the meeting in person.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Ghulam Jan thanked all participants for their valuable contributions, particularly the external members for their insightful feedback and professional input for the further growth of the Management Sciences Department.
