Turbat University’s rapid advance in higher education lauded

Justice (R) Shakeel Ahmed Baloch, a member of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) from Balochistan, has said that setting up a School of Law, raising number of department from three to ten at the Turbat University and setting up a Sub Campus at Gwadar in a short span of four years was a great achievement in the field of higher education. In this regard he appreciated VC Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir and his sincere and committed team members for their unparalleled efforts in promoting higher education in this far flung part of the country. During a visit to School of Law at the Turbat University on January 10, 2018, Mr. Baloch said, “the progress made by the Turbat University in such a rapid time will bring pleasant change in the life of people and it can provide a set platform to the students to establish their talent not only countrywide but the globally. During short briefing dean faculty of Law Prof Dr Gul Hassan Said the Law department was established due to a keen interest and support of the Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court (BHC) Justice Noor Muhammad Meskanzai. Highlighting the problems faced by the students Dr Gull Hassan said the paying fee was the big challenge for the students. Justice Hashim Kakar of the BHC, members Bar Council and other philanthropists of the society came forward to help out the underprivileged and talented students of the university by announcing different scholarships which included Kareem Dashti Scholarship, Taj Muhammad Scholarship and Mir Elahi Bakhsh Rind Scholarship, he added. Meanwhile, Justice (retd) Shakeel Ahmed Baloch also visited the main campus of Turbat University at Ginna area where he was warmly welcomed by the senior faculty members and administrative staff which included dean faculty of Science and Engineering Prof Dr Haneef Ur Rahman, dean faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities Prof Dr Abdula Saboor Baloch, director planning Muhammad Hayat Baloch, controller examinations Tanveer Ahmed, Dr Abdul Qayyum Baloch and PSO to VC Chakar Hyder.
