Teacher Day observed in UoT main campus and Gwadar campus

The University of Turbat’s Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir said that “it is the teacher who have brought the whole world from ignorance into knowledgeable and well-informed and from darkness to light, and who contributed their supreme to bring about peace, development and prosperity across the world, who teaches the lesson of humanity to the people and help us to know how to survive in this competitive world which is full of hardship.”
He was speaking at a gathering organized by Education Department in Turbat University for paying tribute to teacher on the occasion of world teacher day. Like world and other education institutions of the country, the world teacher day was also observed in UoT main campus, on 5th October 2018, Gwadar campus and other teaching department of UoT in which the students paid honor and homage to the self-less services of their teachers.

Recognizing the efforts of Turbat University’s teacher in promoting higher education in the region, the vice chancellor said that our teachers have been engaged in giving flawless contributions in shaping the careers of students for attaining the best result for themselves, institution, province and country.
He said despite facing challenges, the teachers of UoT are involved in grooming student' s personality and behaviors for making them useful for whole humanity. VC said that teachers can bring about enlightenment in the life of students and leave a great impact on development and growth of any society and country.
Dr. Sabir said that apart from being the source of knowledge and wisdom teachers are also the best leaders and promoters. Due to the tireless efforts of my teachers and administrative staff the University of Turbat had earned a good image in the lane of famous institutions of higher learning in Pakistan.

VC assured that University of Turbat never compromises over the dignity of their teachers and other employees at any cost. The collective interest of the university will always remain supreme and no one will be allowed to malign the good image of this prestigious institution. He said that the teachers, administrative staff, students and parents are the main stakeholders of this institution and the harmony and the mutual respect among these stakeholder is the utmost prerequisite for the further growth of higher education. It is why today; we all have gathered here to celebrate a very important occasion “Teachers Day” which emphasizes the prominent rank of a teacher in every society and field. Lecture Education department Muhammad Tariq and students also shared their views regarding dignity of teachers at this occasion. The teacher day ceremony was also attended by the UoT’s Registrar Ghulam Farooq Baloch, Dean Sciences Dr Haneef Ur Rahman, Dean Research Dr Riaz Ahmed, Director ORIC Dr Adeel Ahmed, heads of various departments, chairperson, faculty members and students.
