Lecturer program at UoT Gwadar Campus by DG NIO

A lecture program on “Scope of Oceanography and Sustainable Development in perspective of CPEC and Gwadar” was held at UoT Gwadar Campus on 15/10/2019. Dr. Nuzhat Khan Director General (DG) National Institute of Oceanography (NIO) was the keynote/guest speaker.
The lecturer program was attended Director Campus Ijaz Ahmed, Deputy Campus Coordinator Hafeezullah Mubarak, Gwadar Campus Lecturer Fida Hussain, Irshad Buledi, NIO’s Senior Research Officer & In-charge Gwadar Dr. Javed Aftab, Officer In-charge & Research Officer NIO Gwadar station Ali Jan Essa, faculty members and students of the department of Management Sciences and Commerce.
Previous day DG (NIO) Dr. Nuzhat Khan visited UoT Gwadar Campus. During meeting with Campus Director Ijaz Ahmed and faculty members Dr. Nuzhat Khan Expressed her pleasure over setting up a campus of University of Turbat at Gwadar and said that it would help in promoting higher education in Gwadar and providing human resource for the projects of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). She discussed the areas and possibilities for cooperation between National Institute of Oceanography and University of Turbat. She assured for providing full support from NIO for the promotion of ocean related studies in UoT Gwadar Campus. Giving a briefing on Turbat University’s achievements in short span of time, Campus Director Ijaz Ahmed said that Turbat University had recently set up a new campus at Gwadar within four years of its commencement and was planning to establish another campus in Panjgur very soon. “Gwadar campus will be transformed into a full-fledged university in near future, as Gwadar University Act has been passed by Provincial Assembly in November 2018.” Campus Director informed the DG NIO.
Dr. Nuzhat Khan appreciated the efforts of the vice chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir and his team for the promotion of higher education in this part of the country.
NIO’s Senior Research Officer & In-charge Gwadar Dr. Javed Aftab, Officer In-charge & Research Officer NIO Gwadar station Ali Jan Essa, Deputy Campus Coordinator Hafeez Mubarak, Management Sciences Department Lecturer Fida Hussain and Incharge Education Department Mahira Khan were also present at this occasion. Meanwhile on behalf of VC UoT Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, the Campus Director presented commemorative shield of the university to the DG NIO Dr. Nuzhat Khan.
