UoT’s Gwadar campus celebrates its third anniversary

The Gwadar Campus of University of Turbat celebrated third anniversary in seminar hall of Gwadar campus on 17th January 2020۔.The Campus Director Ijaz Ahmed Baloch, Deputy Campus Coordinator Hafeezullah Mubarak, faculty members and students addressed on the occasion and highlighted the achievements of the university campus in the last three years as well as the challenges faced by the campus.
The ceremony was attended by the Incharge Management Sciences department Ubaid Ali, Incharge Commerce department Mujahid Hussain, Incharge Education department Mahira Khan, faculty members Fida Hussain, Shayhaq Baloch, Zain Ul Abideen, Mir Bilal, Tahir Rasheed, Gulsher, Maryam Suleman, Gulnisa, Muhammad Asim and students at large number. On this occasion the University of Turbat’s (UoT) vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir in his electronic message expressed his best wishes for the further development of the campus and appreciated the untiring efforts of campus director Ijaz Ahmed and faculty members for the progress of the campus in short time. He said, “Faculty members provide quality education to students despite the multiple challenges faced by the campus.” VC acknowledged the contributions of Higher Education Commission (HEC), Governor Balochistan, Federal and Provincial Government, administrative staff and faculty members of UoT’s main campus, public representative, district administration, journalists and the people from all walks of life for the development of Gwadar campus. In his speech, the campus director said that the pass out graduates from university campus would play an important role in the development and prosperity of people of Gwadar, province and country. He remarked that the people of Gwadar would get more opportunity of acquiring higher education after upgrading this campus into a full-fledged university. Deputy campus coordinator Hafeezullah Mubarak, faculty members and students highlighted their three years experiences with the university. The students delivered motivational speeches and recited poetry on this occasion. Emphasizing role of students in the development of Gwadar campus, students termed establishment of the campus as blessing for the youth of Gwadar. “Gwadar campus is the biggest institution of higher learning in Gwadar, now it’s our duty to contribute to the growth of the campus with full commitment,” said a student in her speech.
In their performances students paid tributes to the services of their teachers and requested to the HEC, Federal and Provincial Governments to accelerate the process of transforming the sub campus into a full-fledged university so that more teaching departments and programs of studies can be started in the university. At the end the campus director along with faculty members and students cut the anniversary cake and prayed for the further growth of the campus.
