Quick success of Turbat University in short time commendable, Says Governor Balochistan during 5th meeting of UoT’s Senate

Governor Balochistan and Chancellor University of Turbat (UoT) Amanullah Khan Yasinzai appreciated the tireless efforts and services of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Turbat Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir and his entire team for the rapid success of Turbat university in a short time and he said: “It is certainly commendable that the University of Turbat under his dynamic leadership is on the path of development in a very short period of time.” 

He expressed these views while presiding over the 5th meeting of the Senate of the University of Turbat held at Governor House, Quetta on 9th September 2020. 

Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir Vice Chancellor UoT, Engineer Farooq Ahmed Bazai Vice Chancellor BUITEMS, Prof. Dr. Dost Muhammad Baloch Vice Chancellor LUAWMS, Muhammad Hashim Gilzai Provincial Secretary for Colleges, Higher & Technical Education, Tariq Lasi Additional Secretary Finance, Dr. Niamatullah Gichki Ex-Principal KMC Turbat, Mr. Qaseem Khan Kakar Additional Secretary Governor Secretariat , Prof. Dr. Akarm Dost Ex-dean Student Affairs University of Balochistan, Dr. Taj Baloch, Ghulam Farooq Registrar UoT, Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences UoT, Prof. Dr. Gul Hassan Dean faculty of Legal Education UoT, Dr. Adeel Ahmed Assistant Professor UoT , Mr. Shakir Ali, Ms. Ruqia Lecturer UoT and Khadija Bashir representative University Alumni were present on the occasion.

In the beginning the Vice Chancellor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir presented the Annual Progress report of the University before the Senate. While speaking on the occasion the Governor Balochistan and other members expressed their satisfaction on the rapid progress of the University. 

Governor said that every resident of the province is proud to see such a large number of women seeking higher education from remote areas of the province. “The future prospect of the country and the province are quite bright. Governor Yasinzai has said that our new generation is full of hidden talents and it is imperative to provide necessary facilities and appropriate opportunities to hone their talents,” he said.

Amanullah Khan Yasinzai has said that the advanced mankind of the 21st century has made it possible to travel faster than the speed of his voice thanks to modern science and technology which is a milestone in human history. Therefore we must also adapt to the demands of the ever-changing world and move our pen and foot forward at the same time.

Besides other important decisions the Senate approved the formation of new Syndicate and Academic Council of the University and after successful completion of tenure of incumbent Vice Chancellor, the Senate also formed a new Search Committee under the convener-ship of Engr. Farooq Ahmed Bazai VC BUITEMS for appointment of a new Vice Chancellor UoT.

On the occasion a resolution was moved by Dr. Dost Muhammad Baloch. The Senate unanimously approved the resolution by recognizing and appreciating the services of Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, the first and founder Vice Chancellor of the University for his Tireless Services to bring UoT in the list of country’s best growing universities in a short period during his tenure. 

The Service statutes and rules of the University were also discussed and Chancellor asked the members to send their suggestions and recommendations if any to the Chancellor Secretariat.
