UoT, IIUI, BRSP and NCSW agree to extend mutual cooperation

The University of Turbat has signed three Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with Islamic Research Institute, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IRI-IIUI), Balochistan Rural Support Program (BRSP) and National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW) in Balochistan for extending cooperation with each other and exchanging expertise in respective emerging fields.

The signing ceremony of the MoUs was held during a two-days-long Pegham-e-Pakistan Conference on 27th October 2020 at Multipurpose Hall of University of Turbat.

MoU with Islamic Research Institute, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IRI-IIUI).

On behalf of IRI-IIUI prof. Dr. Zia-ul-Haq Director General Islamic Research Institute, International Islamic University, Islamabad, while Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir Vice Chancellor University of Turbat signed the MoU.

In pursuance of MoU both the universities would jointly explore new avenues of mutual cooperation particularly in the areas of combined research projects, exchange of research materials, development of programs and training strategies, exchange of hard and soft resources of knowledge, exchange of research publications and holding conferences, seminars, lectures and  workshops in the fields of mutual interests.

MoU with Balochistan Rural Support Program (BRSP).

In order to foster academic and research cooperation, the two organizations have agreed to seek opportunities in a variety of academic, research and cultural areas. The MoU would pave the way to cooperate in sharing knowledge, scholarly information, research papers, books and magazines. According to the agreement both organization agreed to cooperate in exchange of students and researchers and promotion of educational opportunities for the students of University of Turbat.

As per MoU, both organizations also agreed to conduct joint research activities and exchange expertise particularly in the areas of health and water. According to the MoU the BRSP and NRSP will provide internship opportunities to the university students.

Mr. Nadir Gul Nareech Chief Executive BRSP and Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir Vice Chancellor University of Turbat signed the agreement.

MoU with National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW) in Balochistan

National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW) in Balochistan and University of Turbat entered into an agreement for extending cooperation in joint research activities, exchange of faculty members, staff, students and researchers. Under the MoU, both organizations agreed to cooperate in promoting educational opportunities for the students the University of Turbat. In addition, both organizations will extend invitation for attending scholarly and technical meetings and assist each other for training and making arrangements for national and international conferences, workshops, seminars and symposiums.

Ms. Fatima Khan Member National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW) in Balochistan and Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir Vice Chancellor University of Turbat signed the MoU.

On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir thanked IRI-IIUI, BRSP and NCSW for visiting University of Turbat and signing of Memorandum of Understanding in order to extend cooperation with University of Turbat.

VC said “Our doors are open for cooperation with all educational institutions of the country and world.”

Mr. Chakar Haider Principal Staff Officer (PSO) to the Vice Chancellor, and Shaukat Tareen from NCSW were also present on this occasion.
