10th meeting of Syndicate held in UoT

The 10th meeting of the Syndicate of University of Turbat was held on 11th December 2020 here in meeting room of the university under the chairmanship of the UoT’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir.
At the beginning Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir welcomed the members of the Syndicate. He briefed the house about the working, progress and future planning of the University for ensuring quality education and promotion of research activities in the university.
VC said, with continued keen interest of the public representatives, civil society and timely support from HEC, federal and provincial government, our institution has the potential to become an excellent university at par with international institutions of higher learning.
Different recommendations were made in the meeting on academic and administrative matters that were endorsed after thorough deliberation and discussion by the honorable members of syndicate.
Vice Chancellor welcomed the suggestions and ensured the members that every possible measures would be made for the promotion of quality education, research & development of the university.
The house lauded the unprecedented progress of the university in short span of time in the leadership of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir.
The meeting was attended by the Syndicate members Justice (R) Shakeel Ahmed Baloch, Vice Chancellor Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University (BBSU) Lyari Karachi Prof Dr. Akhtar Baloch, UoT’s registrar Ghulam Farooq, dean faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor, dean faulty of Law Prof Dr. Gul Hassan, dean faculty of Science and Engineering Dr. Hanif Ur Rahman, controller of examinations Tanvir Ahmed and director finance Shabek Syed.
Besides confirming the minutes of previous Syndicate, the august body also approved the minutes of eleventh meeting of Academic Council, eleventh meeting of Finance and Planning Committee and eighth meeting of Selection Board.
After deliberation and resolving various agenda, the house also approved the names of persons as member of the Selection Board of the university.
The Syndicate also welcomed two new members of the Syndicate including Justice (R) Shakeel Ahmed Baloch and Vice Chancellor Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University (BBSU) Lyari Karachi Prof Dr. Akhtar Baloch.
The meeting ended with the vote of thanks by worthy vice chancellor.
