UoT’s Panjgur Campus observed World Book Day

The “World Book Day" was observed on the Panjgur Campus of the University of Turbat on 22nd April 2022.
The Education Department of UoT’s Panjgur Campus hosted the event. Prof Dr. Javed Ahmed Baloch, Principal Government Boys Degree College Panjgur graced the occasion as chief guest.
In his electronic message, Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, Vice-Chancellor, University of Turbat congratulated faculty members, admin staff, and students of UoT’s Panjgur campus for celebrating World Book Day with zeal at the campus.
In his electronic message, VC said that the books are the repository of knowledge and students should not confine themselves only to course books, but increase their knowledge by reading books on versatile subjects.
He assured us to provide an adequate number of books to the libraries of all campuses of the university.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed Baloch, Campus Academic Incharge, Ms. Nazia Aslam, Head of Education Department, Mr. Dost Jan, Lecturer English Department, and Mr. Atta Ur Rehman, Admin Assistant, shed light on the importance of book reading culture in uplifting the society. They urged the students to invest their precious time in book reading. Dr. Javed Ahmed Baloch admired the efforts of the Panjgur campus team to have conducted a successful event to mark the World Book Day in order to manifest the worth of reading among youth. Students of the Education Department also presented reviews on different books which were highly appreciated by the participants. various bookstalls were also set up on campus as a part of the event. Iqbal Zaheer and Shakib Shakil Baloch, the final semester students of the Education Department performed the responsibilities of stage host of the event.
