UoT's faculty member, Dr. Rooh Ullah won a PSF research grant worth Rs.11 Million.
Dr. Rooh Ullah, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, University of Turbat (UoT) won a Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) research grant worth 11 Million PKR. Pakistan Science Foundation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, under the Competitive Research Programme, will provide funding of PKR 11.00 Million to Project Title: ‘Particulate Mater Removal from Air by Environmentally Compatible, Green Three Dimensional Catalysts Use as a Separation Tools’ that can come out with solutions to mitigate this crisis in Pakistan. Dr. Roohullah will undertake the project as Principal Investigator (PI) while Dr. Abdur Rahim, Assistant Professor, Interdisciplinary Research Center in Biomedical Material (IRCBM), COMSATS University, Lahore Campus will be the Co-Principal Investigator of the project.
According to Dr. Roohullah, the innovative domain of this project is to develop a mechanism for green regenerative catalyst and design an environmentally compatible potable device and correlate green catalyst structural properties with PM removal performance. He added that this method will provide a useful tool for the screening of different environmental samples. Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, VC UoT congratulated Dr. Roohullah for accomplishing this great achievement.
