Corps Commander Balochistan, Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor visits UoT

The Corps Commander Balochistan, Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor along with the Inspector General (IG) Frontier Corps (FC) South, Major General Kamal Anwar Chaudhry visited the University of Turbat (UoT) on 10th October 2022.
On the arrival at Turbat University, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Jan Muhammad, and the Principal of Makran Medical College Dr. Muhammad Afzal welcomed the commander.
Corps Commander Balochistan had an interactive session with the students and faculty members of the University of Turbat and Makran Medical College.
Speaking on the occasion, Commander 12 Corps, Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor said that youth is an invaluable asset of the country. He urged the students to play a positive role in national unity and its development as they were the future leaders of our country.
Moreover, he underscored the fact that the educated youth played an important role in the progress of the country, and the youth of Balochistan, especially the youth of Makran Division, was very talented and hardworking and they must spend their energy on the acquisition of education and that the Youth should take advantage of the opportunities available for their education. On a sanguine note, he highlighted some of the major developmental milestones that the country has achieved. Both the federal and provincial governments have done a lot of work for the people. Commander 12 Corps emphasized that the role of the students was to strengthen and brighten the future of our great nation by focusing on education which leads to success. On the occasion, students freely discussed their education, the problems of Balochistan, the security situation, and their grievances.
Furthermore, Corps Commander Lt. Gen. Asif Ghafoor assured the students that all possible support will be provided in the construction and development of the university and medical college. The event was emceed by Dr. Shah Mir Baloch, Director of Student Affairs UoT. At the end of the session, the vice chancellor presented commemorative souvenirs to the Corps Commander and IGFC (South).
