BoS meetings of N&BS Department and Zoology program

The third meeting of the Board of Studies (BoS) of the Department of Natural and Basic Sciences, University of Turbat (UoT) was held at the Vice-Chancellor Secretariat of UoT. Dr. Jahangir Khan, Chairperson, Department of Natural and Basic Sciences, UoT chaired the meeting. In his opening remarks, he cordially welcomed the external experts, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Anwar Panezai, Director, Institute of Biochemistry, University of Balochistan, and other members of the meeting. Dr. Muhammad Anwar Panezai lauded the efforts of UoT's faculty members and administrative staff under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad in bringing the University of Turbat to par with the prominent universities of Pakistan in a short time. Dr. Haneef Ur Rehman, Dean Faculty of Science and Engineering, Dr. Niamatullah Kakar and Dr. Amir Zeb, Assistant Professor, Department of Natural and Basic Sciences, UoT, Dr. Wahid Bakhsh, and Anwar Ali, Assistant Professor, Govt. Atta Shad Degree College, Turbat, Ms. Zainab, Lecturer, Govt. Degree Girls College, Turbat, while Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Director, Quality Enhancement Cell, University of Turbat attended the meeting as a non-voting member.
The meeting discussed and reviewed the courses and syllabus of BS Biochemistry, BS Biotechnology, and BS Botany. Besides, the incorporation of new BS courses according to the HEC-approved curriculum, the forum also granted approval to add course codes for each individual course and reshuffle the semester-wise course distribution. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Jahangir Khan extended his gratitude to the honorable members for attending the meeting and presenting valuable suggestions for the further development of the Natural and Basic Sciences Department.

Dr. Jahangir Khan, Chairperson, Department of Natural and Basic Sciences, UoT chaired the meeting. Dr. Shahabuddin Kakar, Associate Professor, and Dr. Saeed Ahmed Essote, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, University of Balochistan, Quetta attended the meeting as external experts.
Ms. Gul Afroz, Assistant Professor, Head of the Zoology Department, Ms. Aziza Aman, Lecturer, and Ms. Mehtab Ibrahim, Lecturer of, the Zoology Department, Government Girls Degree College, Turbat participated as members of the board, while Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Director, QEC attended as a non-voting member of the meeting. The meeting discussed and reviewed the courses and syllabus of the BS Zoology program of the affiliated Colleges of the University of Turbat. The forum approved Course Titles/Course Codes, Course Contents/Outlines and Development, and Semester Wise course distribution including Compulsory, General, Foundation, Major and Elective Courses.
