Awareness Session on "Policy Hackathon"

An awareness session on “Policy Hackathon” was hosted by the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), University of Turbart (UoT) at the UoT’s conference room on November 3, 2023, in collaboration with the Social Innovation Academy (SIA) and the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP). Students from different departments of UoT actively attended the session. The main objective of the session was to raise awareness about the upcoming Policy Hackathon.
The resource person of the session, Mr. Ali Zain, the CEO of Social Innovation Academy attended the session virtually via Zoom. He provided valuable insights on the application process for the Policy Hackathon.
Mr. Zain highlighted the core mission of SIA, which is to foster positive social change by leveraging innovation and a people-centered approach to tackle urgent social issues.
Dr. Amir Zeb, from UoT, served as the focal person for coordinating the session and future collaboration between UoT and SIA.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Naeemullah, Director of ORIC, expressed warm gratitude to the Social Innovation Academy for organizing an enlightening and influential awareness session for the students at UoT, saying that the UoT is excited to participate in the upcoming Policy Hackathon. The session received a positive response from the participants.
