Vice Chancellor briefed Chancellor UOT on progress of the University

Vice Chancellor the University of Turbat (UoT), Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad met Governor/Chancellor PSUs Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar, on November 20, 2023, at the Governor House, Quetta. During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor informed the Governor about the university’s overall progress including academic achievements, infrastructure progress, status of new admissions for spring 2024, future planning of the university, and various challenges that may occur in the way of achieving the future goals of the university. 

He apprised the chancellor about the considerable accomplishments of the university such as organizing national and international lecture series, business galas, Digi-skill training programs, IT and literary events, and extra-curricular activities in regular intervals. Additionally, he also highlighted the upgradation of fast WiFi and IT services, transforming the power supply of the university into a solar system, enhancing research funds, and successful completion of 1st phase of the UoT project.  Dr. Jan Muhammad also underscored the academic achievements accomplished by the University of Turbat during his tenure. For instance, the starting of civil work on the development of (the phase-II project) of UoT, revamping and strengthening different departments and directorates, and functionalizing the UOT  Model School. Other than academic activities, he also shed light on efforts in promoting student engagement through different curricular and extra-curricular activities such as forming student clubs/societies and the green youth movement. The Vice-Chancellor also apprised Governor Balochistan for his support in the progress of the University.

The Chancellor expressed his satisfaction with the university's role in promoting higher education and research activities. He pledged to continue his support for the further growth of the universities in Balochistan. He affirmed that the graduates of the University of Turbat have the potential to play a significant role in the progress and prosperity of the province in particular and the country in general.
