Series of orientation sessions for UoT’s fresh students

The University of Turbat's Directorate of Student Affairs has organized a series of orientation sessions from 29th January to 16th February 2024 for the newly enrolled students of BS programs in each faculty at the University of Turbat (UoT). The session series was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad. In his welcome address, the Vice Chancellor congratulated all fresh students for getting admission to different undergraduate programs on merit and highlighted UoT's accomplishments in providing high-quality education.

He encouraged the newcomers to pursue their journey of learning with open hearts and minds to reach new heights of excellence in the field of higher education and their personal lives. He assured students that the administration and faculty members of UoT are dedicated to guiding and inspiring them throughout their academic journey at the university, as well as providing resources and facilities for both academic and extracurricular activities. The vice-chancellor also commended the efforts of the Directorate of Student Affairs in arranging informative sessions for the fresh students.

Mr. Muzaffir Hussain, Director Student Affairs, Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Director QEC, Dr. Abdul Majid Nasir, Controller of Examinations, Mr. Jeand Baloch, lecturer, Natural and Basic Sciences, Mr. Ganj Bakhsh, and Muhammad Younus served as resource persons for different sessions. They underscored semester and examination rules, hostel rules, campus life, scholarship opportunities, and the undergraduate education policy of the University of Turbat. Mr. Jeand Baloch also shared views with students on mental health, well-being, and the importance of cleanliness and green initiatives on the campus.
