The UoT debating team secured the third position in PUDC 2023-2024

The University of Turbat's team secured the third position in the Regional Round of the Pakistan Universities Debating Championship (PUDC) 2023-2024, competing in the English debate category. The Regional Round of PUDC was organized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) on 27th February 2024 at the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering & Management Sciences (BUITEMS), Quetta. Ten universities from Balochistan participated in the event, which aimed to promote unity, patriotism, and critical thinking amongst university students and divert their energies toward positive and healthy activities.
Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar distributed prizes, shields, and certificates among the organizers and participants.
The University of Turbat’s team comprising of Mr. Mairaj and Ms. Iqra from the Political Science Department, and Ms. Javaria from the English Department showcased remarkable debating skills in the event. The winning team was awarded with certificates and a prize of Rs. 60,000, as well as a shield for the University.
Congratulating the winning team and Debating Society of the University of Turbat, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad said that this achievement is a testament to the talents of our students.
