UoT Student Volunteer Society Conducts Fundraising Campaign for Gwadar Flood Victims

The Student Volunteer Society of the University of Turbat (UoT) organized a fundraising campaign from 29th February to 4th March 2024 aimed at extending support to the flood-hit areas in Gwadar. The campaign was led by Ms. Samina Faqir, faculty member and focal person of the Student Volunteer Society, UoT.
Recently, the relentless rainy spell has brought devastation to Gwadar, with flash floods causing extensive damage to houses, livestock, and infrastructure. Students, faculty members, and administrative staff have generously donated to the said cause.
Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, Vice Chancellor of the University of Turbat commended the Student Volunteer Society of the University for its efforts in launching a fundraising campaign in support of flood-affected people of Gwadar. The Vice-Chancellor hailed this initiative as a testament to the university's commitment to fostering a culture of service and social responsibility among the university fraternity. Dr. Jan Muhammad also extended heartfelt gratitude to all those, who contributed to the campaign’s success.
The focal person of the Student Volunteer Society entrusted the collected funds to Hafiz Abdul Baqi, Senior Vice President of the Friends Welfare Foundation for the flood-hit people of Gwadar.
