ToT Workshop on Micro Agro-Entrepreneurship at UoT

A two-day Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop on “Micro Agro-Entrepreneurship in the Kech District of Balochistan” was held at the Law Department of the University of Turbat (UoT) on February 6-7, 2025, in collaboration with Star Farm (Private)Limited Pakistan, SMEDA, ITC, and the European Union. 

Dr. Ghulam Jan, Assistant Professor at the Department of Management Sciences, UoT, and a master trainer from SMEDA, served as the resource person for the workshop. Representatives and professionals from various governmental and non-governmental organizations operating in the Mekran Division participated in the training.

The workshop aimed to equip trainers with essential skills to support small farmers and agri-businesses, enabling them to adopt modern agricultural techniques, enhance productivity, and create better opportunities in the sector.

Additionally, the training focused on promoting sustainable farming practices, sharing success stories, and showcasing key contributions toward strengthening the local economy. By training local trainers, this initiative is expected to create a ripple effect, benefiting communities and fostering long-term growth in the agricultural sector. The certificate distribution was done in the presence of Chief operating officer Mr. Zeshan Saqib.
