University of Turbat to Announce Undergraduate Scholarships Funded by Philanthropists

The University of Turbat (UoT) will announce a new undergraduate scholarship program generously funded by philanthropists to support academically talented and financially underprivileged students. Applications from deserving students will be invited next week.

This initiative was formally decided during a meeting held on February 19, 2025, at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat, chaired by Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, Vice Chancellor, UoT.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Ganguzar Baloch, Registrar UoT, Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Director Quality Enhancement Cell, Mr. Shabeek Syed, Director Finance, Mr. Ijaz Ahmed, Director Public Relations and Linkages, Mr. Bilal Ur Rehman, Incharge Financial Aid Office, and Dr. Shabir Rind, donor of Taj Rind and Mir Elahi Bakhsh Rind Scholarships.
During the meeting, it was also decided that a Board of Trustees would soon be established to enhance the volume of Endowment Funds, including Mir Taj Muhammad Rind Scholarship, Mir Elahi Bakhsh Rind Scholarship, Karim Dashti Scholarship, and Neek Muhammad Buzdar Scholarship. These scholarships aim to enable needy and financially disadvantaged students to pursue higher education at the University of Turbat.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Shabir Rind, the donner of Mir Taj Muhammad Rind and Mir Elahi Bakhsh Rind scholarships, Advocate Jadain Dashti, the donor of Karim Dashti Scholarship and Neek Muhammad Buzdar for their generous contributions toward initiating these scholarships.

Dr. Gul Hasan also made an earnest appeal to prosperous individuals of the society, the business community, and people from all walks of life to step forward and contribute toward this noble cause. He emphasized that investing in education is investing in the future, and by supporting underprivileged students, donors would be making a significant contribution to the development of the region.
He reaffirmed the University of Turbat’s commitment to expanding student endowment funds and strengthening financial aid programs to ensure that deserving students can pursue higher education without financial constraints.
