Students from the BS Biotechnology and Biochemistry programs at the Department of Natural and Basic Sciences, University of Turbat (UoT), visited the Public Health Laboratory at Teaching Hospital Turbat on February 26, 2025, for a practical demonstration session. The visit aimed to enhance their understanding of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) techniques and biosafety protocols in a laboratory setting.

During the session, students observed various practical demonstrations, including DNA extraction and sample preparation, reagent preparation, thermal cycling for DNA amplification, and the application of biosafety protocols. The visit provided an opportunity to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, fostering a deeper comprehension of PCR techniques and their role in diagnostics and research.

The Department of Natural and Basic Sciences, University of Turbat, expresses its sincere gratitude to the Medical Superintendent (MS) of Teaching Hospital Turbat and the staff of the Public Health Laboratory Kech for their support and cooperation in facilitating this educational visit.
