Women Faculty Members' Key Role is Commendable in the Growth of Turbat University, Vice-Chancellor

On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Turbat (UoT), Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, highlighted the significant and commendable contributions of female faculty members and students to the university’s rapid progress. He emphasized that the educational, political, economic, and social development and prosperity of any society are unachievable without the active participation of women, as they are the strong and essential pillar of our society.
Underscoring the importance of collective efforts to promote gender equality and empower women, the Vice-Chancellor stated that the University of Turbat ensured equal rights and opportunities for its female faculty members and students. He further added that several initiatives are also underway to expand these opportunities to enhance their academic and professional growth. Dr. Gul Hasan stated that it is a moment of pride for the University of Turbat that two UoT’s women faculty members have recently completed their PhDs, which reflects the increasing presence and remarkable success of women in research and academia.
Reaffirming the university's commitment to promoting a culture of quality education, book reading, and research in the region, Dr. Gul Hasan emphasized the importance of equipping female faculty and students with modern technology and digital skills to enable them to tackle contemporary challenges more effectively.
The Vice-Chancellor stated that it is highly encouraging that more than 40% of the students at the University of Turbat are female, and they are equally benefiting from the educational facilities provided by the university. As a result, both male and female graduates of UoT achieve remarkable success, not only in competitive examinations conducted by the Public Service Commission but also in various national and provincial-level examinations for jobs.
In his message, he praised the continued efforts of UoT’s faculty, both men and women, and the administration in providing quality education despite financial constraints and other challenges.
Furthermore, the Vice-Chancellor stated that, alongside other departments, the university has decided to strengthen and empower the Directorate of Student Affairs. As part of this initiative, male and female students will have equal opportunities to participate in a variety of curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities at the national level during the academic year 2025, enabling them to showcase their talents and skills on prominent platforms.

تربت (8 مارچ 2025) جامعہ تربت کے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر گل حسن نے خواتین کے عالمی دن کے موقع پر اپنے پیغام میں کہا ہے کہ جامعہ تربت کی تیزرفتار ترقی میں خواتین فیکلٹی ممبران اور طالبات نے نمایاں اور قابل ستائش کردار ادا کیا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ کسی بھی معاشرے کی تعلیمی، سیاسی، اقتصادی اور سماجی ترقی وخوشحالی خواتین کی بھرپور شرکت کے بغیر ممکن نہیں کیوں کہ خواتین ہمارے معاشرے کا ایک مضبوط اور اہم ستون ہیں۔وائس چانسلر نے صنفی مساوات کو یقینی بنانے اور خواتین کو بااختیار بنانے کے لیے مشترکہ کاوشوں کی ضرورت پر زور دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ جامعہ تربت میں خواتین فیکلٹی ممبران اور طالبات کو مساوی حقوق اور سہولیات حاصل ہیں اور ان سہولیات میں مزیدوسعت لانے کے لیے مختلف منصوبوں پر کام جاری ہے۔ انہوں نے اس امر کو جامعہ تربت کے لیے باعث فخر قرار دیا کہ حال ہی میں جامعہ تربت کی دو خواتین فیکلٹی ممبران نے اپنی پی ایچ ڈی کی تعلیم مکمل کی ہےجو علمی وتحقیقی میدان میں خواتین کی نمایاں پیش رفت کی عکاس ہے۔جامعہ تربت اس خطے میں معیاری تعلیم، بک ریڈنگ کلچراور تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کو فروغ دینے کے ساتھ ساتھ خواتین فیکلٹی ممبران اور طالبات کو جدید ٹیکنالوجی اورڈیجیٹل اسکلز سے آراستہ کرنے کے لیے پرعزم ہے تاکہ وہ دورحاضر کے چیلنجز کاموثر انداز میں مقابلہ کر سکیں۔ وائس چانسلر کاکہناتھاکہ یہ بات انتہائی حوصلہ افزاء ہےکہ جامعہ تربت میں طالبات کی تعداد 40 فیصد سے زائدہے اوروہ تعلیمی سہولیات سے یکساں طور پر استفادہ کررہے ہیں، یہی وجہ ہے کہ جامعہ تربت کے طلبہ و طالبات نہ صرف پبلک سروس کمیشن کے مسابقتی امتحانات بلکہ ملکی و صوبائی سطح کے دیگر امتحانات میں بھی نمایاں کامیابیاں حاصل کر رہے ہیں۔ڈاکٹر گل حسن نے کہا کہ بدلتی ہوئی دنیا کے تقاضوں کو مدنظر رکھتے ہوئے جامعہ تربت کی خواتین فیکلٹی ممبران اور طالبات کو جدید ٹیکنالوجی سے ہم آہنگ کرنا وقت کی اہم ضرورت ہے تاکہ وہ اپنے مستقبل کو سنوارنے کے ساتھ ساتھ جامعہ تربت، صوبے اور ملک کی ترقی میں بھرپور کردار ادا کر سکیں۔خواتین کے عالمی دن پر اپنے پیغام میں وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ جامعہ تربت مالی مسائل اور دیگر چیلنجز کے باوجود مردوخواتین فیکلٹی ممبران اور انتظامیہ ایک سازگار تعلیمی ماحول کوفروغ دینے کے لیے انتھک محنت کررہے ہیں ۔ اپنے پیغام میں ڈاکٹرگل حسن کاکہناتھا کہ یونیورسٹی کے تمام شعبہ جات کے ساتھ ساتھ ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف اسٹوڈنٹ افیئرز کوبھی مزید مضبوط اور بااختیار بنانے کا فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے، جس کے تحت تعلیمی سال 2025 میں منعقدہونے والے قومی سطح کے مختلف نصابی، ہم نصابی اور غیر نصابی سرگرمیوںمیں شرکت کرنے اور اپنی صلاحیتوں کامظاہرہ کرنے کا طلبہ اور طالبات کو یکساں مواقع فراہم کیے جا ئیں گے۔
