Five-Day Skills Development Training Workshop Begins at the University of Turbat

The opening ceremony of a five-day training workshop on “Skills Development Courses” was held at the University of Turbat (UoT) on May 5, 2025. The workshop is organized by the Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication, Government of Pakistan, and the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), in collaboration with the Directorate of Information Technology, UoT. Students and staff of the University of Turbat are actively participating in the training sessions, which aim to enhance the employability and technical expertise of IT graduates and professionals. The workshop covers Game Development, Mobile App Development, and MEAN/Full Stack Web Development, providing participants with hands-on training in high-demand tech skills aligned with industry standards. This initiative will help build a strong foundation for career growth in the rapidly evolving tech sector. Mr. Muhammad Afaq Yasin Shah, Game Developer, and Mr. Usman Khan, Mobile Application Developer, are serving as the resource persons for the workshop. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Rashid Ali, Chairperson of the Computer Science Department, and Mr. Sameer Zehri, Director of the Directorate of Information Technology, welcomed the trainers and extended their gratitude to the organizers for conducting such a valuable training workshop at the University of Turbat. They said that under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, UoT remains committed to promoting digital literacy and IT skill development among students.
