Turbat University Researcher Wins Best Paper Awards at International AI Conference

The paper presented by Dr. Rashid Ali, Acting Chairperson, Department of Computer Science at the University of Turbat (UoT), has won the Best Paper of the Conference Award as well as the Best Paper of the Session Award at the 4th International Conference on Human-Centric Smart Computing (ICHCSC 2025). This Scopus-indexed Springer Series conference was hosted by the University of Engineering and Management (UEM), Jaipur, India, and held virtually on October 10-11, 2025.

The award-winning paper titled “Integrated Particle Filter Approach for Enhanced Indoor Robot Localization Using Multi-Sensor Fusion” (Paper ID: 457) was authored by Dr. Rashid Ali and co-authored by Dr. Anand Nayyar from Duy Tan University, Vietnam, Dr. Celestine Iwendi from the University of Greater Manchester, United Kingdom, and Dr. Ilassan Ali Khan from Zhejiang University, China.

This collaborative research introduces a novel multi-sensor fusion framework for improving indoor robot localization accuracy, integrating modern sensor technologies and intelligent filtering techniques.
