Turbat University and ANF Join Hands for a Drug-Free Society

The Directorate of Students Affairs at the University of Turbat (UoT), in collaboration with the Assistant Director Rai Muhammad Afzal police station Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan, organized an awareness session on Counter Narcotics Campaign in Educational Institutions under the theme “One Nation, One Destination-Drug Free Pakistan” in the university’s video conference room on October 17, 2025. A large number of students from various departments attended the session.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nauman Haneef, Joint Director ANF, Coastal Region of Balochistan, said that drug trafficking is an organized crime that can only be eliminated through collective efforts. He emphasized the importance of engaging students and faculty in developing effective prevention strategies to eradicate the menace of drugs from educational institutions. He said that ANF is committed to establishing a safe, drug-free environment, equipping students and staff with essential knowledge and skills to counter narcotics and promote a healthier community.
In his welcome note, Mr. Chakar Hyder, Director Student Affairs, appreciated ANF's efforts in organising such an informative and awareness-raising session at UoT. Mr. Ijaz Ahmed, UoT’s Director Public Relations, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, thanked the ANF team for visiting Turbat University and arranging an interactive session with the students.

Mir Zangi, the President of UoT Young Peace and Development Corps (YPDC) Chapter, moderated the session.
After the session, Mr. Nauman Haneef met with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, in his chamber. They agreed to continue joint efforts for the eradication of narcotics from society. Meanwhile, an awareness walk was also held at the university, in which students, UoT officials, and ANF representatives actively participated.
