15th Syndicate Meeting of Turbat University Recommends Academic and Financial Reforms

The 15th meeting of the Syndicate of the University of Turbat has recommended the university budget for the financial year 2025-26 and revised the budget statement 2024-25 to the Senate for approval.

The meeting, held in the university's video conference room on October 16, 2025 with Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan in the chair, also approved several key initiatives, including revenue generation through academic programs, the establishment of UoT intermediate college, the introduction of skill-based short courses, and the establishment of a university testing service. 

The Syndicate also deliberated various academic, financial, and administrative matters, including abolition and creation of various academic and administrative positions, adoption of Institutional Affiliation Policy 2024, revised Quality Assurance Framework 2023, decision of the 1st meeting of the University Model School Board of Trustees, revised SOPs for publishing content on UoT media platforms, restoration of remaining faculties of the University of Turbat as per UoT Act 2012, revised fee structure, establishment of an NCSP center under Prime Minister’s initiatives,  university medical policy, financial matters of students study tour, cash award for the Best University Teacher.

 According to the university spokesperson, a comprehensive discussion was held regarding the institution’s development and the welfare of its employees, during which members shared their opinions aimed at strengthening the university’s academic and administrative framework.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan thanked all the esteemed members, particularly the Government of Balochistan’s Secretary for Higher Education Saleh Muhammad Baloch and the Secretary Finance Imran Zarkoon (who attended the meeting virtually), for their valuable input and continued support toward the development of the University of Turbat.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Mansoor Ahmed, Pro Vice-Chancellor (attended the meeting virtually), Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor (TI), Dean, Faculty of Literature and Languages, Dr. Muhammad Tahir Hakeem, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Naeemullah, Dean, Faculty of Science, Engineering, and IT, Dr. Adeel Ahmed, Dean, faculty of Business and Economics, Dr. Muzaffir Hussain, Dean, Faculty of Law, faculty members Dr. Roohullah, Dr. Muhammad Tahir Badini, Principals of the affiliated colleges, Mr. Ganguzar Baloch, Registrar, Mr. Shabek Syed, Director Finance, Dr. Abdul Majid Nasir, Controller of Examinations, and Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Director Quality Enhancement Cell of the Turbat University.
