IGFC South Restores Scholarships, Donates Rs 1 Million for UoT Law Students' Exposure Visit

The University of Turbat (UoT) organized a one-day seminar on “The Role of Youth in the Development of Pakistan” at the UoT Law Department on November 24, 2025. IGFC South Balochistan, Major General Bilal Sarfraz, graced the event as the chief guest.

Addressing the seminar, IGFC said that graduates of the Law Department are expected to play a pivotal role in the country’s development. He remarked that the youth of Balochistan are highly talented and the development of health and education is among his top priorities. IGFC presented a cheque of one million rupees to the Dean, Faculty of Law, to support an exposure visit for graduating students of the Law Department. He also distributed awards among distinguished performers of the seminar. He advised the students to think logically before forming opinions, noting that there are many narratives, myths, and realities about Balochistan.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, in his remarks, said that students from across Balochistan seek admission to Turbat University. Despite limited resources, the university continues to provide quality education, hostel and transport facilities to its students. Vice Chancellor expressed appreciation for the continued support of IGFC and thanked local philanthropists for their contributions to the university.

He emphasized the restoration of IGFC scholarships for talented and underprivileged students. He also sought support for the renovation of the multipurpose hall and the establishment of an incubation center at UoT. In response, IGFC announced the restoration of the scholarships and assured full support in addressing the university's infrastructural needs.
Addressing the occasion, Dean Faculty of Law, Dr. Muzaffar Hussain, welcomed the IGFC and thanked him for interacting with the students and faculty. Students of the Law department also shared their views on the occasion. A moot court session was also conducted by senior students, showcasing the legal proceedings of a mock case.
