UTQC Discusses Measures to Enhance Teaching Quality, Research Output, and Student Engagement

The University of Turbat Quality Circle (UTQC) held its fifth meeting under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan on November 25, 2025. The meeting was attended by the Pro-Vice Chancellor, deans of all faculties, chairpersons of academic departments, sectional heads, and senior administrative officers attended the meeting.

The Director QEC provided a comprehensive overview of the quality assurance progress of the University. He briefed the house on the expanded role of internal reviews, highlighting improvements in documentation, program evaluations, feedback systems, and evidence-based quality audits.
The Vice Chancellor expressed satisfaction over the substantial progress the university has made in strengthening its quality assurance and internal review mechanisms in recent years. He commended the collaborative efforts of faculty members, departmental leadership, and administrative units for upholding academic integrity and contributing to the university’s upward trajectory in national quality standards. During the meeting, members reviewed the university’s ongoing initiatives related to internal assessments, program evaluations, accreditation processes, and compliance with the HEC’s evolving quality assurance policies. The forum recognized the steady improvement in the university’s quality indicators and acknowledged the increasing maturity of its academic governance structure.

The meeting emphasized the importance of faculty involvement in quality planning and implementation. Deans and department heads discussed measures to enhance teaching quality, increase student engagement, strengthen curriculum delivery, and elevate research output. The meeting underscored the need for timely completion of review cycles, improved record-keeping, and greater coordination between academic departments and the QEC. The participants also highlighted the importance of student support services, learning resources, digital platforms, and academic advising in maintaining a holistic quality environment.
In his concluding remarks, the Vice Chancellor reiterated that quality assurance is a shared institutional responsibility, and he emphasized the need for proactive planning, transparent processes, and constructive feedback mechanisms. He encouraged all academic and administrative units to maintain momentum, meet quality assurance deadlines, and support the university’s mission of delivering high-quality education in the region.
