Ahsan Iqbal visits University of Turbat Sub Campus Gwadar: On behalf of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif let me congratulate to people of Gwadar on memorable occasion of establishing University of Gwadar where people from this part of country would get greater opportunity for higher education at their door steps. This was stated by Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Dr. Ahsan Iqbal during a visit to University of Turbat Sub Campus at Gwadar here on Friday September 23, 2016. He was also accompanied by provincial minister for health Rahmat Saleh Baoch, DG Gwadar Development Authority Dr. Sajjad Baloch and chief engineer Rafiq Ahmed Baloch during visit to campus. speaking to applicants for admission in Gwadar Campus he said 500 acres land have been acquired for a university in Gwadar and construction and civil work will be started very soon and campus will be shifted from its temporary building to permanent building by 2018, and all efforts will be carried out to make university of Gwadar at par with country’s advanced university where market oriented subjects and program of studies will be offered which can meet higher education needs of people of Gwadar and rest of the areas. He went on saying that Gwadar was turning to be a world class developed city very quickly. In an electronic message from china, Vice Chancellor UoT Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir thanked him for visiting campus to see progress on University of Gwadar, saying that all arrangements have been completed to start classes at Gwadar campus in January next year for which admissions are announced in various BS programs and would continue until November. Earlier project director Manzoor Ahmed Baloch briefed the visitors about the progress related to establishing of University of Gwadar. DF UoT Ghulam Farooq Baloch. Controller Examinations Tanvir Ahmed, Director (PR) Ijaz Ahmed, deputy registrar Gangzar Baloch, faculty member Abdul Majid Nasir, Chakar Haider and Fida Ahmed were also present during this occasion.
