The students of UoT Gwadar Campus set another milestone

A team from UoT Gwadar Campus secured 1st position in Business Plan Presentation in Preston Entrepreneurial Challenge ’2018, organized by Preston University Islamabad from 11-12 May 2018. It was an All Pakistan Inter University Business Plan Competition titled Preston Entrepreneurial Challenge “PEC18” with the Slogan “Jahaan wo chayay mujh ko k ho abhi Nokhaiz”.

Congratulating the winning team and their mentors, the VC UoT Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir said, “the students of Gwadar Campus marked history by clinching 1st position in competition where teams from universities all over Pakistan were participating. He vowed for creating more entrepreneurial opportunities for the students. He praised the effort of campus management and faculty members for improving the students hidden talent and enabling them to become entrepreneurs of the country to demonstrate their skills and talents in entrepreneurship development.”

The mega inter-university Business Plan Competition was the 6th in the series of competitions in which more than 237 teams from eminent public and private universities from across Pakistan took part in the event, of which 31 teams were shortlisted for the Grand Finale. This selection was made on the basis of their executive summaries. The team “Zer-e-bojeeg” with business plan “House Boating in Bright City Gwadar” from Uot Gwadar campus not only shortlisted but also established their presence country wide by getting 1st position in Business Plan Presentation.

The academia and management of UoT main campus and Gwadar campus paid tribute to the team members for presenting innovative ideas and outstanding performance in country wide competition.

The team comprising on Ms Khalida, Noor Jahan, Syed Ul Nisa, Salman and Abdul Rahim of Commerce department participated in various challenging and enlightening activities and competitions, including Elevator Pitch, Business Plan Competition, Junk Yard Activity, revamp the brand and advocacy campaigning.

The closing ceremony of ‘PEC 18’ was attended by various industry leaders, including Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) President Sheikh Amir Waheed, who was the chief guest at the occasion.

Earlier, the students of UoT Gwadar Campus also sealed the 3rd position in Kech Entrepreneurial Challenge “KEC 2018” organized by University of Turbat in main campus Ginna from April 3-4, 2018.
