Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan visit Gwadar Campus of University of Turbat

Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan visited Gwadar Campus of University of Turbat on 29th September 2018. Addressing to the students CM Balochistan said that the establishment of a new University in Gwadar was very important project which has been discussed and approved in various forum, and the number of universities in Balochistan have been increased which is the demand of the day and good sign for focusing at the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.

Jam Kamal Khan said that students should focus on acquiring professional education and he was happy to see the education environment was developing in Gwadar which is very indispensable to face the future challenges.

He said that the Provincial government would utilize all available resources and assets for the development and progress of the institutions of higher learning in Gwadar and the progress will be seen in next one month in this regard. He assured that his government was committed to develop education sector to make the future of Gwadar brighter and the cooperation of Chinses companies would be sought in this regard.
On this occasion, Director campus Ijaz Ahmed briefed CM Jam Kamal Khan and the federal and provincial ministers about the one and half year performance of the UoT’s Gwadar Campus and highlighted the needs of establishment of University of Gwadar at eariest.

Federal Minister for Defense Production Zubaida Jalal, Provincial ministers Zahoor Baledi, Abdul Rauf Rind, Abdul Rahman Khetran, Noor Muhammad Dummar, Abdul Khaliq Hazara, MPA Mir Hamal Kalmati, members of the provincial assembly and other high provincial and district administration officials were also present on the occasion.

During the briefing, the director campus presented the immediate needs of the campus which included a sixty seater bus for students, scholarships for students, books for campus library and laptops for students and faculty members. Miss Haim Gul Lecturer Computer Science Department also spoke at this occasion.

The students also requested for same demands to the Chief Minister during an interactive session with him.

Earlier, on behalf of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, the director campus along with faculty members warmly welcome the Chief Minister and his delegation on arrival at Gwadar campus.

At the end the director campus presented the shield of the university to the Chief Minister.
