University of Turbat Convenes Fourth UTQC Meeting to Strengthen Quality Assurance

The University of Turbat (UoT) held the fourth meeting of its University Quality Circle (UTQC) on July 22, 2025 under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Gul Hassan. 

The meeting reviewed and approved key quality assurance documents including the Action Taken Report on Institutional Performance Evaluation (RIPE 2022–23), the RIPE Review Report 2024–25, placing the university in the HEC’s “Blue Category” and the RIPE Implementation Plan 2024–25. 

The Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the QEC and RIPE Review Panel in ensuring a rigorous, evidence-based evaluation process.

The forum also deliberated on the progress of the Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) cycle 2024–25, covering five academic programs. 

Action Taken Reports on previous SARs and newly developed Implementation Plans were endorsed. Similarly, the Postgraduate Program Review (PGPR) documents, including review findings and corrective action plans, were discussed and approved with a commitment to enhance academic rigor and file management practices at the postgraduate level.

In addition, the Annual Activity Calendar of the QEC for 2025–26 was unanimously approved. 

To ensure alignment of academic timelines across all departments, the heads of teaching departments were instructed during the meeting to prepare department-level academic calendars.

The Vice Chancellor reiterated the university’s strong resolve to institutionalize continuous quality improvement and stakeholder-driven academic governance.
