Education Department observes “International Day of Right to Education” in UoT

Federal Minister for Defense Production Zubaida Jalal assured the administrations of Turbat University that government would take concrete steps to address their problems and the central government has been taking earnest measure for the development of Balochistan and Gwadar Ship Yard that would be source of prosperity for the people of Gwadar and Turbat.
Addressing a ceremony in University of Turbat on 28th January 2019 held to mark International Day of Right to Education, Federal Minister said “Completion of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Gwadar Shipyard will open a lot of employment opportunities to students including male and female of rural areas of Balochistan including Gwadar, Turbat and other areas.
Turbat University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir agreed that every child has the right to education of primary level. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit.” Dr Sabir reiterated that University of Turbat never compromised over merit and good governance and his institution would leave no stone unturned in promoting quality education at all level, enabling the people to become a useful individual for country and humanity.
Speaking at the occasion, Humanity and Social Sciences Dean Prof Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch and QEC Director Prof Dr. Gul Hassan acknowledged the services of teachers of public and private schools in promoting education in Turbat.
The Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister distributed shields among teachers on their best performances at the end of programme.
The event was also attended by Principal BRC Turbat Abdul Kareem, social activist Rahima Jalal, Divisional Director Mekran Abdul Ghafoor Dashti, DC Kech Major Bashir, Director Gwadar Campus Ijaz Ahmed, , chairpersons, faculty members, educationists and students.
