VC UoT for planting more trees in University of Turbat

The Vice chancellor of University of Turbat (UoT) Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir has said that planting trees in good number is the only solution to control drastic climate change through air pollution in our environment. He was speaking at an occasion of 2nd phase of tree plantation campaign launched by Green UoT Team in Turbat University on 22nd January 2019.

Highlighting the importance of trees VC UoT said “trees and plants are the major source for making our environment health friendly, therefore we must play our role in planting more trees in university and other areas for the safeguard of our next generations.”

Faculty of Science and Engineering Dean Dr. Haneef Ur Rahman, Chemistry Department faculty member Dr. Naeem-Ul-Haq and In-charge Plantation Campaign Muzzafar Baloch also shared their views at the occasion and encouraged the students and civil society for planting more trees in UoT and their locality. They also highlighted the hazardous consequences of chopping down the trees for personal gains and business.

Meanwhile Management Sciences faculty member Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Political Science department Chairperson Changiz Ahmed, other faculty members and students along Vice Chancellor devoted their day in planting different kinds of trees at various places of university for the beautification and purification of their instituttion. The Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of students, faculty members and administrative staff for changing university environment considerably in just few weeks because of tree plantation in massive number by them.
