Opening Day of Kech Summer Camp 2019 – University of Turbat

The Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Turbat is initiated the 1st Kech Summer Camp 2019 with the collaboration of UDaan, Pak Alliance for Math and Science, Voice of Balochistan and District Administration Turbat. The University of Turbat and UDaan has the past record of working with the youth for their development and inclusive growth and in continuation of that only it proposes to obtain the resources for the Youth Empowerment Initiative, which has the potential of integrating the values of a good and productive citizen in youth, motivating them to lead a normal life by providing them a platform to develop and showcase their skills. This camp is educational as well as interactive project where school students and summer fellows (University students) as well as community engage together to build a strong relationship. Various undergraduate students from different universities were selected as fellows and will be trained with innovative & entrepreneurial techniques to get the updated knowledge, new skills and understand the concept of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship to develop entrepreneurial solutions that meet the local challenges in the region. Total 70 girls and boys students of class 8th to 10th from 10 schools including Nasiabad, Kalatuk, Ginnah, Dagarikhan, Gokdan, Dannuk, Shahitump, Dashti Baazar, Turbat and Absor are participating in camp for learning new skills with a safe and nurture environment. In his opening remarks, Dr. Haneef Dean (A) faculty of science and engineering University congratulated the above mentioned partner organizations for successful start of the events and thanked the district administration especially Mr. Sikandar Shezan Deputy Commission Kech for sponsoring the program. Ms. Granaz Baloch CEO of UDaan and the focal person of the Kech Summer Camp 2019 introduced the propose and objective summer camp 2019. Mr. Kurram Baloch ADC Kech, Ms. Zumrud DEO female, Mr. Ghulam Farooq Registrar University of Turbat, Dr. Gul Hassan Baloch Director QEC UoT, Mr. Abdul Qayyum Head of Economics Department, Mr. Ganguzar Baloch Deputy Registrar University of Turbat and Mr. Ghous Baksh Assistant Registrar (Gen) participated the opening session and shared their view for summer camp 2019.
