Turbat University Launches Tree Plantation Drive to Promote Environmental Sustainability

The University of Turbat has launched its tree plantation drive, inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Gul Hasan on July 24, 2025. On this occasion, the deans of various faculties, the Registrar, heads of academic and administrative departments, faculty members, and administrative staff actively participated by planting a variety of saplings across the campus.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr. Gul Hasan emphasized that tree plantation must be regarded as a national duty in the face of mounting environmental challenges and global warming.
Citing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Dr. Gul Hasan highlighted that planting trees is a meaningful step toward achieving these targets. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to expanding plantation efforts in the coming days, not only to make the campus greener and cleaner but also to promote environmentally sustainable practices throughout the region.
