Three-day Industrial Visit Organized by Department of Management Sciences, UoT

Department of Management Sciences, University of Turbat is one of the oldest departments providing quality business education and contributing the workforce in the province and the overall country. Department’s business graduates are working in different companies and organizations throughout the country. Besides the academic or theoretical knowledge, this department has been involved in a variety of practical activities for the students such as business related workshops, seminars, symposiums, etc.
As a part of the same academic and experiential learning process, recently a three-day industrial visit was arranged by the Department of Management Sciences, University of Turbat from 20th to 22nd November, 2019 for a group of forty students. The visit was coordinated through Lasbela Industrial Estates Development Authority (LIEDA), Balochistan. During the study visit, four manufacturing companies i.e., Bisconni, Snacks & Co., Marble City and DG Cement were visited. These companies warmly received the students and provided the orientation about the company and its different departments such as HR, Finance, Production, and Marketing etc. Arrangement was done to make them visit the production site with the management, demonstrating each aspect of the production. After each company’s visit, the management about the company’s operations answered students’ queries. At the end, there was strong positive feedback from the students about their learning experiences in the above industries. They had the practical experience of understanding the overall business operations learned theoretically in their studies.
