Exhibition of Project Teaching Method held in UoT

Turbat University (UoT’s) Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities Dean Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch said that university of Turbat was disseminating top quality education in accordance with the needs of the time in this part of the country and the graduates from this institution were second to none and capable to play a significant role in the progress of the Balochistan and country. He was speaking on the occasion of inaugural ceremony of an exhibition of Project Teaching Method held in UoT on 26th November, 2019 under the auspices of Education Department. The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch. The inaugural ceremony was also attended by Chairperson Education Department Manzoor Ahmed, Deputy Registrar Ganguzar Baloch, Course Supervisor Gissed Nisar, Protocol Officer Meer Bahad, PSO to Vice Chancellor Bilal Ur Rahman, faculty members, administrative staff and students’ at large number. The 6th semester students of B.Ed. (Hons) showcased their project on “Teaching of Physics” in the form of scientific model instead of theoretical and usual manner. Appreciating the work of the students and efforts of Education Department, Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch said that the exhibition was aimed to promote teaching and learning concept through scientific project model with modern techniques of teaching. He remarked that purpose of this exhibition was to promote innovative method of teaching. He further added that the students and teachers of the schools will be given opportunity to participate in such innovative activities. He said that after graduating from Turbat University, our trained students can play an effective role in bringing positive change in the teaching and learning system in elementary and secondary level in this region. Earlier highlighting the aims and objectives of the exhibition and its importance at school level education, the Chairperson of Education Department Mr. Manzoor Ahmed said that Turbat University was committed to improve the quality of teacher’s education with modern pedagogical and anagogical techniques in order to change the destiny of the students in school level. He thanked VC UoT Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, Registrar Ghulam Farooq Baloch, Dean Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch, faculty members and administrative staff for their support and encouragement in organizing such an innovative exhibition in UoT.
The exhibition was visited by the Deans, Heads of teaching departments and administrative sections, faculty members, admin staff and students from various departments. During visit to the exhibition Dean Faculty of Science and Engineering, Dr. Haneef-ur-Rehman appreciated the innovative model projects of the student teachers.
