Condolence Reference held in Turbat University for Abdul Qadir Shahwani

A condolence reference for the departed soul of Abdul Qadir Shahwani was held at the Lecture Hall of Turbat University’s Institute of Balochi Language and Culture (IBLC) on 28th November, 2019. Speaking on the occasion, the Turbat University’s Vice Chancellor Professor Abdul Razzaq Sabir and Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Director IBLC Prof Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch described Late Abdul Qadir Shahwani as renowned scholar, intellectual, a great researcher and author of Balochi and Brahvi Language. They paid the tribute to the services rendered by the deceased for the promotion of Balochi and Bravi Language, cultural norms and values of Balochistan. Expressing their feelings of extreme melancholy they said that they were deeply saddened to hear the bad news of the demise of Abdul Qadir Shahwani. Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir termed the demise of Late Shahwani as irreparable loss. The Vice Chancellor highly exalted the literary contributions of the deceased. Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch said the Balochistan was deprived of a noted scholar, poet and author. Speakers remarked that late Abdul Qadir Shahwani had devoted his entire life for the promotion of Balochi and Brahvi Language and reading and understanding his works should be our first priority. They prayed may Almighty Allah bless the departed soul and grant patience and consolation to the bereaved family. They also expressed their sympathies with the family members of the deceased.

The condolence reference was also attended by IBLC’S Assistant Professor Ghafoor Shad, Assistant Professor Tahir Hakeem, Assistant Professor Aqeel Ahmed, Assistant Professor Tariq Rahim and students’ at large number.
